|| THE WORDS
what I’ve been writing and some quotes I love
Although I decided to participate Nano Wri Month... I have utterly failed the challenge. However, I did plan out my story more deliberately, thanks to Nano.
Anyways, here are some snippets of what I wrote this month:
There she sat on the stairs, as she gazed toward the horizon she could see the sun rising slowly from the east and the cities beyond the mountains and trees. She enjoyed the silence. She felt slightly sleepy from waking up early but she no longer cared now. Her mind was troubled and filled with voices but the quietness upon the mountain calmed her down.

It was a rainy day in October as I decided I would go to the coffee shop to write my papers. I grabbed myself a caramel latte and took a seat beside the window. People passed by the drizzling street and I sat there with my coffee and my computer.
I grew a little bored after writing my paper for a while, so I took out the mirror I had in my bag. The world the mirror reflected was colorful, not dull and monotonous like my life.
After staring at the reflection of the people, the street, the rain, and my coffee, I put the mirror back in my bag.
A sprinkle of color will do.
Not too much, not too less, just a little color to lighten my day up.

It's all breaking apart
And there's nothing I can do
I'll just stand back
and watch it all burn down

Here are some quotes I discovered from reading, that I would like to share with you all:
"To die will be an awfully big adventure" - Peter Pan
"Odd things happen to all of us on our way through life without our noticing for a time that they have happened." - Peter Pan
“Apart from the grace of God, the [human] free will is not capable of anything good.” – Historical Theology
Anxiety weighs down the heart but a kind word cheers it up. - Proverbs 12:25

Oh and I especially love "A Valediction: of Weeping" that I read for my English class, it's such a lovely yet melancholic poem.
||THE ARTS
some artsy things I did
So... I did not do any arts except writing a few words for clay article and doing a painting which I haven't finished it just yet. I didn't take many photos either...
|| THE PONDERING
what I’ve been thinking about
There's an invisible trust between friends. A trust that you believe that your friend value you as much as you value them, the trust that enables you to maintain your friendship even if you do see them for a long time.
It's a blind trust, like that friendship game where you fall back blindfolded and firmly believes that someone will catch you. But once in a while, imagine you fall back and hit the ground instead of falling into the arms of your friends. You may forgive that one time but if it continues, you won’t fall back because you know they won’t catch you from your painful previous experience. Same in life, if that trust becomes broken again and again…that will create a damage that would never be able to amend. Are we doing a good job maintaining friendships or are we just letting it hit the ground again and again unconsciously and hurting it?
|| THE SONGS
what music I have been listening to
Christ - ph-1
I came across this song in a random way, but I fell in love with it really fast. It's quite unusual to have a Korean rapper who is openly Christian, so that surprised me a lot. I especially love the line where it says, "I hope that God can really use me/ of all the talents of his choosing."
As I am - Jason Gray
I recently discovered Jason Gray (I don't know a lot of artists or songs compared to my peers) from my friend who sang one of his song "Worlds Apart" at small group. I was going through his song and found this song. "You love me as I am, not as I should be." That is a great reminder for me that He loves me unconditionally just the way I am.
Hiding In Your Hands - Dear Evan Hansen [Deluxe]
I really love Dear Evan Hansen. And bonus tracks?! Super!
when the party’s over – Billy Eillish

I don’t know, I simply like her songs, it’s just so melancholic that I like it
Christmas Time Is Here – Daniela Andrade
Christmas Time Is Here – Daniela Andrade
I’ve been enjoying this song since last year Christmas and as Christmas is right around the corner, I figured it’ll be great to dig it back up and start listening to it as well as other Christmas songs.
The Magic of Christmas Time - Taeyeon
I discovered this long at the end of November, but the end of November is still November. This song has a Disney Christmas vibe to it.
|| THE SPARKLES
some small things I’ve been enjoying and the memories
Drizzling rain.
Leaves falling.
My sister turning 16!
Play rehearsals with my adorable actors.
Washing dishes and baking in the kitchen with my friends at the Thanksgiving party.
A recharging Thanksgiving break for an entire week to just chill in the house.
Going out to longboard in the Olympic park and getting milk tea.
My friend's random interrogation video call.
Midnight text with my friend across the world.
You'll be okay.

|| THE DOINGS
what I’ve been up to this month
This month was chill, I pretty much stayed home all the time. It's weird but a lot of things are foggy for me. I don't really remember doing anything special like I did in October. Just average school routine with a break.
As you guys can see I didn't change my platform. Wordpress.org is quite expensive for me, so I'll be saving some money in the future so I can change my site someday.
I didn't felt like socializing compared to usual (my sister might argue that I don't socialize usually anyway...), so I've been slightly avoiding seeing people but my mom wanted me to hang out with my friends during Thanksgiving break, perhaps she noticed that we were staying at home too much, it seems like either going out too much or staying home too much is a red alert to mothers haha.
Yes, I did try to write more compared to last month, but I could have written more.
Thanksgiving... yes. I enjoyed the one week break after about twelve weeks of non-stop school. It's always nice to have a week where you just stay home and do some extra school, be nerdy and watch US History videos.
I watched two movies with my family during Thanksgiving break, "Detective Conan the Zero Enforcer" and "Fantastic Beats: the Crimes of Grindelwald". We don't have any time during school to watch any movies at the theatre (since I have classes every night) so my mom insisted that we should go out and watch some movies. I have an amazing mom.
Thanks to the Thanksgiving break, I finally had some time to go out and longboard. It has been about roughly seven months since I longboarded last time and I almost forgot all the steps I used to know but it was fun.
I've been working on directing a small Christmas play, and it has been a fun process. I can see that the children are enjoying the process and they love the rehearsal time. However, it's challenging for me often times, as I never had a real "professional" experience in theatre or drama, nor any of the children had experience in acting, I'm still flying blind. Yes, I'm flying much steadier than the first two plays, but I'm still wondering a little. I feel like I'm not leading the children well, not articulating my feedbacks clear enough, and sometimes more extreme that I'm not preparing the play well. With all those doubts, I'm going forward nonetheless, there's no turning back. Besides, the joy and the smiles on the children's face undermine (hmm am I using the proper diction?) all the doubts, it reminds me it's okay if I'm not perfect, we'll all learning together in this process.

||THE FUTURE
what I plan (or at least try) to do in the upcoming month
Christmas is around the corner!!! *cheers*
I'll be making some Christmas cards, make costumes for my Christmas play, prepare for finals...
Excited to send out all the Christmas cards that I haven't finished!
Speaking of finals... College ED will be out on 15th, which is intimidating. I keep telling myself that I don't mind if I get deferred or rejected since I have six back up colleges (that I might not get in as well, haha sorry I'm being melodramatic), there might be some tears involved whether the result is a good one or a sad one because I'm sentimental... ah well, too much overthinking. Okay back to the facts, if I become rejected, I'll be working on applying to rest of the colleges on my list, if I get accepted, hurray!
Also, I'll be updating i see you in colors soon, so stay tuned!
