DIY collage notebook cover

Hey everyone!

It's already August, which means school's starting soon. So I decided to went up to Taobao and get myself some pretty school supplies. My sister and I ordered some notebooks and post-it.

Aren't they adorable?

However, there was this one notebook that they gave us free, which was not that pretty. Since my mom wanted to a cute notebook herself, I gave her one of mine and took that not-so-pretty notebook. And decided to DIY it's cover.

First I covered the veggie design by using white paint, I let it dry for the night. It didn't need that much time actually, but the paint had some chemical scents that caused me some allergy, so I needed that smell to fade away before I actually do something.

Next, I went up to Pinterest and looked for ideas, and this was the original inspiration. I really loved the idea using strips of magazine and arranging then into collage. Then, I searched off the internets for free textures and printed them out, because we didn't have any magazines in the house. I started cutting out the printed designs, trying my best to cut them out in "equal"-sized diamond shape. After cutting them out neatly, I arranged them on my notebook and started gluing them on to it using glue-sticks.

Ta-da! It's done! I definitely like this "improved" design than the original veggie design.
